This page explains how Aerten Limited looks after personal information. We keep it as light as we can.

Who we are

What we collect, and why

If you contact us. Through the form on our Contact page, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us. The tick box on the form confirms that you have seen this page; it is not what we rely on to process your message. We use it to reply and to talk about possible work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, in responding to people who get in touch.

Our capability checks. The short self-assessments on our Insights pages run entirely in your browser. Your answers are not stored and are not sent to us. If you choose to talk to us afterwards, we only receive what you submit through the contact form. If you use the option to email yourself your result, the message is created in your own email app and goes only where you send it. We do not receive a copy.

Website visits. We use Burst Statistics, which runs on our own website, to count visits and see which pages are read. It uses an anonymous identifier that changes every day. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and cannot recognise you from one day to the next. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, in understanding how the site is used. Because the figures are anonymous we cannot pick out your visit, so there is nothing we could remove for you individually. If you would like to object anyway, tell us through the form on our Contact page.

Keeping the site secure. The security tool on our website (Wordfence) and our hosting provider keep technical logs, which include IP addresses, so that we can spot and block attacks and fix faults. We do not use these logs for anything else, and we keep them only for as long as we need them for security. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, in keeping the website secure.

Cookies. This website does not set cookies for visitors and does not store anything on your device.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for up to two years, or for as long as we are working together. After that we delete them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. Our website hosting provider (Hostinger) processes website data on our behalf, and our email provider (Google) handles the messages you send us through the contact form.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the form on our Contact page. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
